We've Adopted!

a new fur baby, that is.... hee hee!

This is Granny's sweet little dog, Mitzi. She is a 9 yr old Fox Terrier. She's has made herself at home with our other fur babies, Joey & Trooper. She's also super well behaved and not barky at all (thank god!)
Anyway, I just thought I'd share this pic of Keith sitting with his girl watching the Giants vs Packers the other night.
To see some pics of Granny, follow the link below. I'm sorry there's been some difficulty in finding them on my Flickr account... http://www.flickr.com/photos/geekgirl415/sets/72157603703130371/
For the Potter & Johannsson families, Granny passed away last week at the age of 96. She's Linda's and Mike's mom and she was the funniest, sweetest, smartest lady around. We will miss her.

Update on the Beer (video)

Day one - the beer is coming along as it should. The valve kept me up all night. It sounds like a leaky faucet. I'm sure it's all worth it!

Brewing my own beer

A few weeks ago, my neighbor, Ernie let me tast some of his "homebrew". He has been brewing his own beer at home for a few months now. I decided to give homebrew a try. Dad gave me a homebrew kit for Christmas and this saturday was brewing day! I am brewing a version of Fat Tire (popular Belgium style Ale in the north - cant get it here in the sunshine state). Once the beer is done, I am bottling the beer and I have even created my own label. Let's hope it comes out great! See below for some pictures of the process.

As you can tell we finially got some rain and it put my new retaining wall that I built a couple of months ago to its first test.
Veronica and Nick and Mardi are standing on the bridge that I built 21 years ago. We live next to the school that Keith, Natalie, and Veronica went to. The old bridge had washed out the winter before. The new bridge is 18 inches higher than the old one. Back when it used to rain a lot water reached the bottom of the bridge but never went over. Isn't all this exciting?
By the way, due to the fact that I do not remember my pass word and I can't get on without it, I am signed in using Veronica's. Actually all I did was take the pictures and write this very insightful message. Veronica down loaded the pictures, signed on, and posted the pictures.
